It is an African Celebration

In commemoration  of Africa Day at Ziwelene Weddings and Celebrations we are doing it our way! One of our core values is to celebrate our cultures and to be proud to be African. So on this special day to all Africans, we are celebrating Africa Day by featuring some of our African Traditional Weddings that truly reflect our beautiful cultures . I hope you love African weddings as much as we do.

Kone  and Shaun Mojapelo’s Sepedi Traditional Wedding

Kone and Shaun celebrated their love in a celebration full of vibrant colors and culture. Their traditional ceremony was in Flora Park, Polokwane.  Kone tells us how they  met, “My husband and I met in 2013 in Pretoria, Hatfield at a mutual friend’s birthday party. I arrived very late so I apparently when I walked in Shaun declared to his friend that’s my wife; he tells me this story all the time.”

Katlego and Kealeboga’s isiZulu and Sepedi Tradtional Wedding

Vision for your African Traditional Weddings

“We wanted our isiZulu wedding to be regal and royal. We chose on the following colors Red, yellow, blue and all the bright isiZulu colors. For our sePedi wedding we chose traditional sePedi colors which was very classy and more toned down from the previous celebration.”

Onkabetse and Tlotlo Sanyane’s Proudly African Wedding Theme

Onkabetse and her husband Tlotlo are both seStswana but  decided to have a proudly African theme for their wedding. The couple drew inspiration from different African cultures  and made it more relevant for 2018.
